Voting for Seniors: What Students Need to Know to Cast a Counted Ballot

March 11 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

EST  | It’s an online-only event

This workshop offers a practical, fun, empowering introduction to participating in elections.

This 45-minute workshop will offer graduating seniors, and the teachers who support them, a concise, practical look at the information new voters need to effectively advocate for themselves, and cast a counted ballot. An engaging slide presentation will cover the practicalities and legalities of ID, registration, voting in person, voting by mail, voting early or on election day, negotiating time off from work to vote, and primary vs. general election voting. Part Two offers a short, interactive workshop on candidate selection. The workshop will conclude with a brief Q&A.

This session is organized by Lift Every Vote.
