My Advanced Government/Civics class had a scholar exchange with Sarah Harris of the National Constitution Center and Judge Karoline Mehalchick, a recently appointed federal district court judge, about the 14th Amendment. My students were challenged by questions about what citizenship is and what rights and responsibilities do citizens have. It was an informative and fun session. The students were still talking about the exchange after the NCC and the judge signed off.
