The James Madison University Madison Center for Civic Engagement and the College of Education invite you to attend a moderated panel discussion on How Should (Future) Civics Teachers Navigate a Changing Policy Landscape? The panel will feature local school district administrators and members of the Virginia general assembly’s Commission for Civic Education. The panel will explore the intersection of state education policy and teaching civics in 2023 and how current and future teachers can understand policy while navigating possible tensions.
