DESCRIPTION:The flourishing\, functional constitutional democracy of tomorrow requires that today’s students develop the bridge-building skills and dispositions that will equip them to collaborate across different perspectives. This will require the adults who impact their learning– parents\, educational policy-makers\, and teachers– to engage in productive ways as well. Purposeful and effective bridging at the K-12 level will see educators prepare themselves in a way that facilitates the learning required of their students\, and students will experience the sustained learning opportunities that will position them to ease this country’s polarization and ideological conflict.
