On March 8, Charlotte high school students, policymakers, and community leaders come together to put civics into action. Programming includes student civic learning opportunities connected to local government and civic issues, exploration of careers connected to civic life, and a youth-led discussion with policymakers, philanthropists, community leaders, and media about civic education including a youth call to action focused on increasing civic literacy and youth civic leadership in Charlotte and across NC.
Students will gather to learn first-hand how their local governments and communities work, discuss important local issues, and build knowledge, experience, and social capital networks for active civic leadership now and into college, career, and more
