Presented in partnership with the Kentucky Department of Education.
A student’s ability to communicate their own conclusions effectively and listen carefully to those of others is the capstone of our disciplinary practices, requiring students to engage in democratic procedures and discourse. Our session explores what a collaborative civic space looks and sounds like by examining the role of teachers and students when participating in dialogue, debate and discussion.
