Connecticut’s Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz sits down with five of Connecticut’s Kid Governors: Elena Tipton (2016), Jessica Brocksom (2017), Megan Kasperowski (2018), Ella Briggs (2019), and Myra Stanfield (2020). The students share what they achieved during their terms as Kid Governor, how the experience impacted their lives, the importance of youth civic engagement, and their perspectives on women in politics.
This program was recorded on September 9, 2020 to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the Kid Governor® program. The program was hosted by The Connecticut Democracy Center in partnership with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
