The lack of youth civic engagement and limited civic education in the United States are pressing concerns, which can lead to a poorly informed citizenry, decreased voter participation, apathy towards community issues, susceptibility to misinformation, and a general lack of understanding about how government works.
We can change that by giving students opportunities to engage and have an impact in their communities directly through hands-on projects and offering a civic seals program.
