Public Events:
Events that are open to the public to attend and promote civic learning. Examples include panel discussions, workshops, or other community-based programming.
School-based Activities:
Activities that take place in a school or classroom and are not open to the public to attend. Examples include civic-themed classroom lessons, schoolwide events, or other educational activities.

You can either submit a link to an online resource or upload PDFs, PPTs, DOCS or another resource file. For now, it is one file or link per submission.
Anyone interested in promoting civic learning—including educators, community organizations, institutions, and individuals—can submit events/activities or resources. Whether you’re hosting a workshop, panel discussion, or providing educational materials, we welcome your contributions!
We invite you to express interest in hosting an event/activity during Civic Learning Week even if you do not yet have all the details. This will enable us to populate the event map early, letting people know something in their area will be coming, and also provide you with relevant resources to aid in your planning..
We encourage events that focus on civic engagement, education, community involvement, and/or democracy-related topics. These could include but are not limited to:
- Webinars and workshops
- Panel discussions
- Lectures or talks
- Interactive activities
- Educational campaigns
You can submit any educational materials that foster civic learning, such as:
- Lesson plans or curricula
- Toolkits
- Research papers
- Videos, podcasts, or multimedia
- Infographics or posters
We just ask that you host the content and provide a link to it.
Simply register and fill out a form on our website. Be sure to include detailed information like event description, intended audience, date, and location, or resource type and purpose.

Yes, you can edit your submission by selecting “Create a Draft Event” upon completion of the form. Once you have selected “Review and Submit,” you can withdraw the submission, duplicating and resubmitting it with your desired edits.
After your submission has been approved, please duplicate and resubmit it, as the changes need to go through our review process. If you need to cancel your event or withdraw your content altogether please contact us.
Our team reviews submissions within a week. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your submission is live.
Approved events and resources will be featured on the Civic Learning Week website and shared via our newsletter and social media channels, providing great exposure to educators, students, and civic leaders across the country.
To ensure your event or resource gets promoted before Civic Learning Week, please submit by January 31, 2025. Submissions will continue to be accepted through Civic Learning Week, but could receive less visibility.
