We began Civic Learning Week by reflecting on what it means to be a “good citizen” in school, as we reviewed classroom agreements with our new trimester class groups. Through a gallery walk students used sticky notes to provide examples of five pillars of school citizenship: following school rules, being respectful of school property, displaying good character, being respectful of other people and their property, and giving back to the school community.
